Siddha diagnostic methods
Envagai thervu- is the eight fold diagnostic method followed in Siddha to
confirm the diagnosis, assess curable – incurable nature and assess the
prognosis. Among 8 different tools, prime importance is given to Naadi
parisodhanai (pulse reading) and Neerkkuri – nirakkuri and neikkuri (urine
examination). Manikkadai nool is another non invasive diagnostic tool followed
to assess diagnosis and prognosis in routine practice.
